strangeweather ist eine portland, oregon, usa stammende folk, darkwave band die 2010 das licht der welt erblickte und aus sarah ann lachner (gesang, gitarre, flöte, glockenspiel), brenna sahatjian (gesang, cello, mountain dulcimer), joshum (gitarre, gesang,e-bass, mandolin) und dirt (drums, chimes, bells, percussion) besteht.

"strangeweather began in 2010 as a long distance collaboration and recording project between part time and full time members of the anarcha-folk outfit, slow teeth. in late 2012, members converged in portland, forming a focused 3 piece which immediately began performing around the pnw, writing prolifically, self recording and releasing their first album in a matter of months.
in fall 2013 strangeweather expanded to incorporate a drummer (dirt deodara), which prompted the group to largely re-imagine their approach. they embarked on writing and recording their second album, finding themselves embracing heavier sounds, far more expansive and intricate musical passages, and experimenting more with live looping. strangeweather finished their self-titled second album in late 2014, which is expected to be released spring 2015."
