Whispering Woods wurde 2008 durch  Doru Căilean (Gitarre) und den  ehemaliger Bassist Norbert Gero gegründet.
Mitlerweile besteht die Band aus, Corina Hamat (Mezzosopran), Oana Maier (Sopran), Cătălina Popa (Flöte), Cora Miron (Keyboard) Alex Dascăl (Schlagzeug), Radu Vâtcă (Bass-Gitarre) und Doru Căilean (Lead-Gitarre).
Whispering Woods spielen Gothic Metal / Symphonic Metal mit weiblichen Gesang.

"Fairy Woods" ist ihr Debüt-Album und beruht auf einer konzeptionellen Geschichte in der Ihr als zuhörer die Hauptfigur seid die euch  auf eine imaginäre Reise durch einen mystischen Ort entführt, in den alles möglich ist, die geschichte dazu liegt als Pdf-Datei (in englisch) mit im Ordner.

Auf Ihrer Bandcamp-Seite gibt es das Album als kostenlosen Download wenn Ihr unter "Buy Now name your price" Null eintragt, da es kein Mindestgebot gibt.
