Das Projekt Sector 516" wurde 1998 von Maxim Sosninykh. gegründet und hieß noch "Spot" und später wurde das Projekt in Sector 516 umbenannt.
Musikalisch beeinflusst von bands wie ""Depeche Mode, And One
 Dance Or Die, Rotersand" sind nun ihre Texte auch in englisch, und nicht wie zu anfangszeiten in Russisch.
Mittlerweile besteht das Projekt aus: Maxim Sosnin (Musik, Lyrics, Gesang), Nikolaj Blinow (Keyboard),
Boris Protasov (Schlagzeug) und Oleg Prikhodko (Gitarre).
